Ashanti Douglas is also referred to as Ashanti is born in Glen Cove New York United States on 13th October 1980. She is a singer, songwriter from America and actor. Ashanti began her professional career as a teenager, she was signed by Murder Inc. Records by 2002. The same year, she was featured on the Fat Joe's What's Luv? the song "What's Love?" by Fat Joe as well as Ja Rule's "It's Always" on Time were both huge hits. The moment she dropped her single,"What's Luv, at number two at the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and Foolish at the top spot with Foolish as her debut single, she became the only female artist to accomplish this feat. The song is called What's Luv! We can celebrate this special day with us. Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, better called Ashanti was born on October 13 the 13th of October, 1980 in Glen Cove New York. Tina Douglas was her mother as well as Ken Kaide Thomas Douglas had earlier performed as a vocalist. Kenashia Schia Douglas is her younger sister, is older. Her debut single Foolish includes a sample of the track of DeBarge titled Stay with Me. Ashanti's debut self-titled record was made available through Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. on the label in 2002. The Declaration was the fourth Ashanti studio release, made available on the 3rd of June in 2008. Hey Baby After the Club was released on the 16th of October for radio and digital outlets.
